Windows 7 not detecting hardware?

Ewa Homrich: chance are you may have to download all of the necessary drivers, I had an issue where i needed to configure windows xp on a PC that came with 7 and I had to manually install all of the drivers, check out your hardware specs, the manufacturers usually keep their drivers on their sites, also try Google.P.s. as far as the internet goes, unless you have a driver disk, you may have to get access to another computer. Daren Ventrice: If you can't use Aero themes then your video card drivers aren't installed properly, update them and it should work again

Sol Bayn: Just checked out what Grandizer said, and it appares (one of) the Standard VGA Graphics Adapters and all the Ethernet related.. things in the Device manager has a yellow warning triangle next to it. I'm guessing I have to get their drivers some how? And somehow the drivers have totaly different name! s here in 8, and work perfectly.

Rosie Travino: Go to "Start" > Control panel > system and security > system -> device manager.Look for entries of installed devices that have an exclamation point or a red circle with a line through it. This will tell you hardware is installed and no driver to get it functional was installed yet. Windows 7 does have default drivers built in, but not every piece of hardware has the driver support. Or copy the existing ones (memory stick) to Windows 7, because as already mentioned, they work in 8.Because to update them I need internet (I presume), and I can't Connect to the internet from 7, as it's the same problem With the wireless-Connection-driver-thingy.10 points for best suggestion :) Obviously....Show more

Vern Serratos: You may need to reinstall the device drivers for the hardware to become detectable.
