I started my own landscaping maintenance business, just turned 17 and need help with a name and slogan.?

Bob Pucella: Don't sweat it too much. In your business, a clever name and slogan are not really important. Put the effort into customer satisfaction and sales. Get referrals from your customers. If they're happy with you, they will send you tons of clients who won't care if it's called "Dead Lawn Care - If you didn't kill it, WE CAN". Trust me on this.

Small Bathroom (only bathroom) Remodel?

Merna Fauset: What can I put on a wall instead of a medicine cabinet

Emery Blando: Measure a lot. No elongated toilets or huge baths. Read up so you know both your building codes and the available products. Remember storage needs and lighting and ventilation. We had a tiny powder room and knocked down a wall so we could have a small 3/4 bath. Its big enough for us though and we took advantage of not having a big space to put in some nicer fixtures and floors. Since it is small, you can use colors or style it a little farther out than you might be comfortable with in a larger space you spend more time in. We are redoing the kitchen in May, Lowes has good help with layouts. I spend about a month looking at types of kitchens and countertop surfaces, bring some home with you so you can see how the different finishes work together in the natural light of your home. That's really key. I chose the cabinets, countertops, paint and tile, and ordered them so I have time to ma! ke sure its right or it can be reordered without cutting into installation time. We do our own, if you are hiring a contractor allow for more time....Show more

Hal Palowoda: Under the sink storage is essential in small bathrooms. I would mos def get a sink cabinet instead of a pedestal:http://www.homedecorators.com/P/Amanda_Column_Sink...http://www.homedecorators.com/P/Moderna_Sink_Cabin...http://www.homedecorators.com/P/Heirloom_Kerman_Sq...http://www.homedecorators.com/P/Chelsea_22W_Single...I think I've seen multi-door medicine cabinets like you're describing. That would look ok. My friends did "subway" tile in their bathroom & it looks good. She bought chrome accessories (clock, trashcan) to accentuate the subway decor. You could also do a line of black or some other colored tile in the middle to break up the monotany. I would mos def go with a shower curtain. You can swap them out every so often for different looks....Show more

Danette Slotnick: Just did my! remodel, 5'6 x 6' bathroom. ...did lose a lot of storage with! the pedestal sink but also put in a clawfoot tub. Really made the room seem larger. Cabinets in a small place? Recessed might work but in a since the room is so small, I believe less is more! I've seen some nice glass shelving with a couple of chrome towel racks attached...Bed, Bath and Beyond has them. Shower curtain definitely! Liners can be thrown in the washing machine or replaced inexpensively. A glass shower door requires daily upkeep if you want it to look good. Then you have to deal with the minerals, calcium and lime deposits on the glass. Can require some heavy duty chemicals! Now that's too much elbow grease for my liking!Tile...I used the 1'x1' mesh of small white hexagonal tiles that have a little black square tile in the pattern...home depot has them but I got them for less $ at a local tile store. Installed them diagonally and It's surprising how much space that seems to add. Hope that helps, good luck!...Show more

Buster Exline: For storage pur! poses you need to stick with a vanity but you don't have to do the standard boxy look. There are many vanity choices that are sleeker. Then just do the one medicine cabinet. White tile and wainscoting will make the room look a little larger and you can spice it up with your towels, rugs, and accessorizes to avoid the institutional look. I wouldn't do the shower door if you are continuing with a tub but if you are taking out the tub, a single shower with a door would definitely open up the room....Show more

Frances Macky: Sorry, I can't answer the whole question, but skip the wainscotting--the room will look much bigger this way. We took it out of our small, narrow bathroom, and it really opened things up. Same in our small dining room. It gives the room a more fluid look if you ask me. Good luck! :)

Betsey Copp: My opinions? As much as I like the look of a pedestal sink, the lack of storage would be annoying. You can probably find a cupboard that fits in! with the general style you're going for.Love the idea of the subway ti! le. It shouldn't look like a hospital bathroom if you use nicer towelbars, etc.I like a shower curtain, myself. Have fun!...Show more

Locker Decorating Ideas? Contest involved!!!!?

Jeremy Donohue: It's a JUNGLE in there!!! Decorate your locker with a Jungle Theme. Line the entire inside of your locker with green paper - such as large craft paper or construction paper. If you want to go all out, you could buy a roll of wallpaper that has jungle leaves on it, and then tape the paper to the locker walls. This sets the stage for the jungle.Next, use a zebra striped fabric to cover your locker shelves. Measure the shelf, then cut the fabric to fit. Adhere the fabric to the shelf using a heavy duty clear packaging tape (such as Scotch brand - found at any discount or office supply store).Find a small mirror that will fit in your locker. If it has a frame around it, you could cover the frame with the zebra print fabric, then stick the mirror to the inside of your locker door.Hang artificial vines (found at a local craft store or thrift store). The vines can be taped to the top of your locker using a heavy duty clear packaging tape (you could also p! urchase removable sticky hooks to hang the vines from). Let the vines hang down inside your locker, and along the inside of the door, and around your locker mirror. The more vines, the better the look.Place several small jungle-themed stuffed animals in various places around the locker - a small monkey hanging from the vines, or a small zebra standing at the bottom of your locker. You could use small Beanie Babies for this.Ask family, friends, and neighbors if they have an old small footstool or ottoman that they no longer need. Make sure it is small enough to fit at the bottom of your locker. If you can find two of them - all the better! Cover the ottoman with a leopard print fabric. Just drape the fabric over the ottoman and staple the fabric on the bottom side. Place the ottoman in your locker - if you have two of them (one for you and one for your locker-mate) - stack them when not in use. When you visit your locker and have a spare moment, you can take the ott! oman(s) out of the locker and use them as seats for a short re! st.Use any left-over fabric to cover your books and/or binders! When the books are on your shelf, they'll add to the theme look!Ask family, friends, and neighbors if they have old National Geographic Magazines that you can have. Chances are you can find pictures in these magazines of jungle animals. Just cut out the pictures and make a collage of animals on the inside of your locker door. If you have an old picture frame, you could place the animal collage behind the glass and hang the picture in your locker. For a spin on this idea, you might want to cut out just the eyes of the animals and tape the eyes in various places throughout your locker - sort of like the animals are looking out at you from behind grasses and vines.Note: Often times you can find jungle print sheets at discount and dollar stores, and the sheet sets are often a lot less expensive than buying fabric at the fabric store. Just use the fabric from the sheet set for your locker - cheap and easy!If ! you are feeling REALLY crafty, you could even make plaster animal masks to hang in your locker. Here's an article that shows you how to do this: http://site.escapadedirect.com/blog2/2009/09/22/ar...Go WILD exploring the possibilities of designing a jungle theme locker!I hope this idea helps - good luck with the contest!...Show more
