natural pesticide in a vegetable garden?

Ronny Dorge: I want to share with you a Garden Idea | How to watering plants the organic way. see this link : http://www.lifehacksanddiy.com/garden-idea-waterin...

Doreatha Kjellsen: Homemade Insect SoapInsect soaps are available in any organic gardening aisle, but gardeners can make a homemade garden spray that’s just as effective for aphids, caterpillars, and mites. Combine three drops of mild dishwashing liquid in one quart of water. An added tablespoon of cooking oil helps the mixture cling to leaves. Spray plants to the point of drenching, but don’t use on blossoms or when temperatures are over 80 degrees F to prevent scorching the plants.Homemade Tobacco Bug Spray Gather enough cigarette butts to harvest ¼ cup of tobacco leaves. Place these in a sock, and soak them in a quart of water overnight. Avoid using this homemade insect spray on eggplant and tomato plants, as tobacco can harbor the mosaic virus.Hot Pepper Bug Repellent Place a handful of dried ho! t peppers in the food processor, seeds and all, and grind to dust. Take care not to get the dust on the skin or eyes. Sprinkle around garden plants to repel ants and onion maggots.Rubbing Alcohol Bug SprayRubbing alcohol quickly desiccates the bodies of soft sucking pests like aphids, mealy bugs, and thrips. However, it can also damage plant tissues, so gardeners should use alcohol sparingly in the garden. Dab a cotton swab soaked with rubbing alcohol directly on the pests, taking care to avoid the plant. Plants with waxy leaves may tolerate a dilute alcohol spray of one-cup alcohol mixed with a quart of water.Bug Juice SprayGardeners may be repulsed yet fascinated to learn that one can make a natural bug spray out of the pests themselves. Place the mashed bugs in cheesecloth, and soak in two cups of water overnight. For best results, use the bug juice within three days...Show more

Shawnna Kusky: Companion Planting, which is basically planting things together that ward off the pests naturally attracted to plants. Such as garlic or onions with tomatoes. Garlic and onions repel many garden pests. The shade from the tomato plant will help the garlic and onion grow. You can google "companion planting" for more info. You can make pesticides from herbs and garlic. You steep them and make a tea. Then spray your garden. The most common one is garlic spray. You can also use plain old soap and water in a spray bottle....Show more

Dalia Causby: I use a soap and water solution

Ronny Dorge: Hot pepper wax helps, too, and wasn't listed in the longer answer. It's in a spray bottle.I have a problem with squirrels and repels all (smells terrible) works well, too. It's also in a spray bottle. Both are natural. repels all is made from rotten egg solids and other stuff. T! he local nursery also suggested dried blood, and said be careful with it as it's a natural fertilizer and things will grow like mad so go easy on it. That is dry and comes in a small bag.
