Jeremy Donohue: It's a JUNGLE in there!!! Decorate your locker with a Jungle Theme. Line the entire inside of your locker with green paper - such as large craft paper or construction paper. If you want to go all out, you could buy a roll of wallpaper that has jungle leaves on it, and then tape the paper to the locker walls. This sets the stage for the jungle.Next, use a zebra striped fabric to cover your locker shelves. Measure the shelf, then cut the fabric to fit. Adhere the fabric to the shelf using a heavy duty clear packaging tape (such as Scotch brand - found at any discount or office supply store).Find a small mirror that will fit in your locker. If it has a frame around it, you could cover the frame with the zebra print fabric, then stick the mirror to the inside of your locker door.Hang artificial vines (found at a local craft store or thrift store). The vines can be taped to the top of your locker using a heavy duty clear packaging tape (you could also p! urchase removable sticky hooks to hang the vines from). Let the vines hang down inside your locker, and along the inside of the door, and around your locker mirror. The more vines, the better the look.Place several small jungle-themed stuffed animals in various places around the locker - a small monkey hanging from the vines, or a small zebra standing at the bottom of your locker. You could use small Beanie Babies for this.Ask family, friends, and neighbors if they have an old small footstool or ottoman that they no longer need. Make sure it is small enough to fit at the bottom of your locker. If you can find two of them - all the better! Cover the ottoman with a leopard print fabric. Just drape the fabric over the ottoman and staple the fabric on the bottom side. Place the ottoman in your locker - if you have two of them (one for you and one for your locker-mate) - stack them when not in use. When you visit your locker and have a spare moment, you can take the ott! oman(s) out of the locker and use them as seats for a short re! st.Use any left-over fabric to cover your books and/or binders! When the books are on your shelf, they'll add to the theme look!Ask family, friends, and neighbors if they have old National Geographic Magazines that you can have. Chances are you can find pictures in these magazines of jungle animals. Just cut out the pictures and make a collage of animals on the inside of your locker door. If you have an old picture frame, you could place the animal collage behind the glass and hang the picture in your locker. For a spin on this idea, you might want to cut out just the eyes of the animals and tape the eyes in various places throughout your locker - sort of like the animals are looking out at you from behind grasses and vines.Note: Often times you can find jungle print sheets at discount and dollar stores, and the sheet sets are often a lot less expensive than buying fabric at the fabric store. Just use the fabric from the sheet set for your locker - cheap and easy!If ! you are feeling REALLY crafty, you could even make plaster animal masks to hang in your locker. Here's an article that shows you how to do this: http://site.escapadedirect.com/blog2/2009/09/22/ar...Go WILD exploring the possibilities of designing a jungle theme locker!I hope this idea helps - good luck with the contest!...Show more
