Hipolito Rightmire: If you are going for several days, don't forget extra batteries for your lights. They only last a couple of days depending how long you use them each night. I hope somebody knows how to start a fire. I know it's not difficult but my friend had no idea how to start it when we went camping. Thank goodness I knew how to do it.Make sure you have plenty of changes of clothes, and for all weather and temperatures. If you get really dirty or wet you want to be able to change. If you plan to go hiking be sure to have jeans or other long pants. You should have a good mess kit (cooking kit). You should have dishes, and silverware. And you probably want to have something to clean the dishes with (make sure you have plenty of water for this, or maybe you want paper plates and plastic silverware). And a good f! irst aid kit....Show more

Marco Stolarz: You didn't say if it was in a camp ground or not. Hiking into an area may be different. We camp in camp grounds.Tent, sleeping bag/blankets, etc. WATER! Make sure to take your own just in case the campground doesn't have any drinkable water. Have a water container in case they do have some drinking water. Food, Bug Spray, matches/lighter, firewood (can't depend on finding any once you get there). Lights. (some campgrounds have electricity) if not you will need a lantern/flashlights. (toilet paper, paper towels (luxury items). These are the basics. Most of all, just enjoy yourself....Show more
